Treatment of Problem Behavior Services

Advanced Intervention offers a continuum of treatment services for individuals diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or other developmental disabilities who display problem behaviors (e.g., physical aggression, self-injurious behavior, noncompliance) that interfere with social, independent and academic functioning. Additionally, Milestones’ staff works with individuals who lack the appropriate adaptive skills (e.g., independent toileting) necessary to function as independently as possible in the least restrictive environment.

The continuum of treatment services varies with respect to intensity of need and previous services/treatments received. These services include:

  • Problem focused consultation to caregivers and school personnel
  • Clinic-based treatment of problem/dangerous behaviors
  • Full-day treatment of problem/dangerous behavior
  • Intensive treatment of adaptive skill deficits
