What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with Special Education Teachers: Participate in the intake process for new students, necessary meetings, student graph and programming review.
  • Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and develop Behavior Intervention Plans: completing necessary tasks to support student success.
  • Lead and Mentor: Train and mentor classroom teams, ensuring excellence in care and professionalism.
  • Foster Growth: Participate in staff evaluations and provision of supervised field work for behavior analytic candidates.
  • Engage with Families and LEAs: Collaborate effectively with parents, related service providers, and Local Education Agencies (LEAs).
  • Promote Progress: In conjunction with SPED, regularly review and modify student graphs and programming as needed.

Frequently Asked Questions

The minimum qualifications and requirements: 

  • Hold & Maintain Active Board Certified Behavior Analyst Credential.
  • Hold & Maintain License in the State(s) in which you provide services, as required.
  • 2 years experience providing behavior analytic services to individuals with autism or other developmental delays preferred.
  • Meet all supervision requirements as specified by the BACB.
  • Excellent professional, leadership, organization, and communication skills (both written and oral).
  • Required to properly wear PPE and attend all trainings related to PPE.
  • Required to follow all safety procedures and requirements.
  • When implementing emergency procedures (‘PMT’), must perform maneuvers and actions associated with managing students independently or as part of an orchestrated team effort.
  • Must be able to physically care for younger children up to 6 years old with or without assistance of one or additional designated persons.
  • The job duties require an employee to routinely and safely demonstrate heavy to very heavy physical demands associated with ‘hand on’ efforts when physically managing students, under routine, emergency, and/or aggressive behavior management scenarios.
