Yes, Milestones Behavioral Services (MBS) follows all state and federal regulations regarding employment and background checks. Within the first 30 days of employment, the State of Connecticut mandates that any individual hired by MBS must undergo both state and national criminal history record checks, as well as checks for any instances of child abuse. According to the law, applicants must furnish MBS with the names, addresses, and telephone numbers of all current or former employers if those employers were local or regional boards of education, local charter schools, inter-district magnet school operators, or if the position involved contact with children.

All staff members at MBS must undergo fingerprinting. This will be completed on premises their first day of employment, during orientation. The fingerprints will be sent and reviewed by the State Police Bureau of Identification and the FBI and the results will be received by MBS. If MBS is informed of a criminal conviction, we will inform the Bureau Educator Standards and Certification if necessary and follow internal requirements protocols.

At MBS, we create a vibrant work environment focused on collaboration, respect, and ongoing professional growth. From supporting student intake to managing crisis emergency procedures with care, your contributions play a crucial role in our students’ success.
